Obituary

John Benjamin Taylor, Jr., 81, of Brunswick, passed away December 21, 2025, at his residence.

John was born December 6, 1944, in Sanford, Fl, he had lived in Brunswick since 1959 and was a member of Sterling Church of God of Prophecy.  John was a Master Trim Carpenter with Driggers Construction since 1993 and enjoyed shrimping and fishing.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  He had a green thumb and could make anything grow which showed in his yard full of fruit trees and flowers.

Survivors include his son, Samuel B Taylor (Cherry Lane) of Brunswick, a brother, Robert William Taylor of Darien, grandchildren, Caleb Austin Taylor, Anthony Drew Taylor, Landon Nicolas Taylor, Ryleigh Sinclair Lane, Devin Anthony Lane and Alyssa Ann Lane, a great grandchild, Nevaeh.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Miller Taylor and siblings, James, Dolly, and Louise, and an uncle Robert Williams.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, 10:00am at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Chris Boyd officiating.  Burial will follow at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jimmy Walden officiating, and Caleb Taylor, Drew Taylor, Landon Taylor, Devin Lane, Ryleigh Lane, and Alyssa Lane serving as active pallbearers.  A visitation for family and friends will be held at Chapman Funeral Chapel Monday, December 29, 2025, from 5:00 until 7:00pm.
