.John Alvin Terris, Sr. 73, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday August 25, 2021 at Southeast Georgia Health Systems.

John was born December 3, 1947 to Gloria Jones and Alvin Terris, in Griffin, GA. He was a graduate of Forrest Park High School Class of 1965, and Brenau University Class of 1988, where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.  He was Vietnam War Veteran, and retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service. John has been a resident of Glynn County since 1996, where he owned and worked as an accountant and tax preparer at Padgett Business Services. John was Church of God by faith, and a member of the Masons. He loved to play golf in his spare time and was an excellent cook, anything he made was delicious.

John is survived by his beloved wife Charlotte Terris, sons, John Joseph Terris of Atlanta, John "JJ" Alvin Terris Jr. of Missouri, daughter Vicki Naugle (Eric) of Brunswick, sisters, Patricia Looney (Jimmy) of McDonough, Lawanda Gandee (Doug) of West Virginia,  six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Victor Standard, and sister Dixie Standard.
