John Clifton 'Cliff' Watson, 63, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, as his residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026, 3:00pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Eddie Morrison officiating.  Burial will follow at Emanuel Methodist Church with Johnny Crosby, Mark Crosby, Floyd Pertle, Alford Crosby, Jason Wilkes, Toby O'Quinn, Billy Hall, and Tony Pitzer serving as active and honorary pallbearers.  A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home, one hour prior to services.

Born in Brunswick, April 15, 1963, to Dorsey Wilbur Watson and Gloria Gwendolyn Wilkes Watson, he had lived in Brunswick all of his life, was a 1981 graduate of Glynn Academy, and a member of Emanuel Methodist Church.  Cliff had been employed as a heavy equipment operator in land development with Proudfoot Construction, and Union Camp Corporation. He enjoyed playing golf, deer hunting, and salt water and freshwater fishing.

Survivors include his son, Scott Watson and brother, Randy Watson, all of Brunswick, a nephew, Kevin Scott Watson, and nieces, Katie Nichole Watson and Jaicy Morton, a great nephew, Mikey Watson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Randy Clifton Watson, grandparents, Alma and Dave Thompkins and Stafford and Wilma Watson.
