Joseph Davis, Sr.

Joseph Davis, Sr., 70, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at his residence in Brunswick,

Private services will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Waycross.

Joseph was born March 29, 1956, in Waycross, GA to Noah Charles Davis and Virginia Maxine Gardner Davis.  He had lived in Blackshear all of his life before moving to Brunswick in 2019.  He was a graduate of Ware County High School and had been employed as a cabinet maker with General Housing for more than 30 years.  He enjoyed watching University of Georgia football, Atlanta Braves baseball, and NASCAR racing.

He is survived by his wife, Bridget Davis, children; Samantha Howard (Daniel), Tabitha Steedley (Jason), Sabrina Lankford, Joseph Davis, Jr., Jeffery Lankford, Mikell Lankford and Jonathon Davis, Siblings; Elaine Lankford, Timmy Davis (Terri), and Alicia Smith, numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers; Lewis Davis and Charles Davis.
