Josephine (Jo) L. Bradley, age 90, passed away at her home on February 19 surrounded by family and Hospice. Jo was born in Glennville, GA the oldest of eight children. She worked in and managed convenience stores most of her career, where she was fondly called "Jo Bell" and "Mama Jo". She lived in Townsend most of her life and was a wonderful mother, wife and friend to all she met. She found great pleasure working in her garden and flowers, where she definitely had a "green thumb".
Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Bradley, her son James W. Griffin, her father James Arlie Crosby, her mother Junie Mae Lynn, her brothers Lanis, Billy and Wade Lynn, her sisters Patsy Hathaway, Mary Nell Corlette and Nancy McCollum.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jo "BJ" Griffin (Michael) Harris of Ponte Vedra, FL and sister Catherine (Eddie) Richardson of Darien, GA, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A Memorial Service, celebrating Jo's life, will be held on Friday, February 28 at 10:30am at Northside Baptist Church, 1305 N Darien Street SW, Darien, GA 31305. Her nephew, Reverend Mike Lynn will officiate. A private family inurnment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery.
