Joyce Wynell Kight Dixon, 65, of Brunswick, passed away Aug. 31, 2025, at her residence.

A service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at a later date.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 46 years, Allen Dixon; sons, Dale Dixon (Nikki) in the U.S. Navy, and Allen "A.J." Dixon Jr. of Brunswick; a brother, Jimmy Kight; a sister, Janice Baker; and grandchildren, Jasper, Mina and Abby.

She was preceded by her parents, James Alson Kight Jr. and Perlie Wynell Lenard Kight; a brother, Jerry Kight; and a sister, Judith Kight Hill.

Joyce was born Feb. 19, 1960, in Brunswick. She was a 1979 graduate of Brunswick High School, where she was a member of the R.O.T.C. After graduation, she attended Brunswick Junior College, then later went to work at Pantry Pride, Piggly Wiggly, Subway and Harris Teeter.

She enjoyed bowling, playing softball and spending time with her grandchildren.
