Joyce Cannon Stregles, 81, passed away at Senior Care of Brunswick Tuesday, June 11,2024.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14, 2024, 11:00 am, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Scott Stanfill officiating.  Burial will follow at 3:00pm at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sylvania, GA.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Fred Stregles of Brunswick, children Fred Stregles, Jr. (Cindy) of Darien,  and Brenda Knight (Robert) of Brunswick, brother, Bobby Cannon (Mary) of Plant City, FL, sister, Lillian C. Weaver of Sylvania, GA 6, grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.  Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron E. Cannon and Essie Grovenstein Cannon, brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles & Betty Jean Cannon, Richard & Margie Cannon, and a brother-in-law, Sonny Weaver.

Joyce was born February 1, 1943, in Savannah, GA to Aaron Emanuel and Essie Catherine Grovenstein Cannon.  Coming from Savannah, she had lived in Brunswick for the past 35 years, and was a member of College Place Methodist Church.  She had previously worked at Wal-Mart and Winn Dixie of St. Simons Island.  She had an immense love for her family and her church family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
