Sandra 'Kay' Swann, 85, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Hospice of The Golden Isles.

The Funeral Mass will be held Monday, February 26, 2024, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Father Tim McKeown officiating.  Private interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery.  The family will be greeting friends prior to service time.

Kay was born June 18, 1938, in Douglas, GA, to John David West and Lois Davis West.  She married Ralph Swann and they lived in South Florida for several years and later resided in Brunswick for the remainder of her life. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader and cat lover.  Kay enjoyed her home life, working around her house and in her yard, but her most loved activity was spending time with her family. Kay was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, and had a strong faith in God, and she loved Jesus. She followed the teachings of Jesus in her everyday life. She was a selfless and kindhearted lady with a good sense of humor. She loved her family, and was always there to encourage, love, guide and care for them.

Kay is survived by her children, Jim Swann (Peggy) of Dallas, TX, Sandra J. Swann of Brunswick, Wayne Swann of Brunswick, Mark Swann of South Dakota, grandchildren, Justin Swann, Jason Moore, Kari Cob, and Kevin Radcliff, a sister, Brenda Taylor of Waycross, nephews, John Taylor and Bryan Swann, and an uncle and aunt, Jacob L. and Jenny Davis.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean West, and a nephew, Matthew Ulrey.

Memorial contributions are requested to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or Hospice of the Golden Isles.
