Keturah Ann Dixon Harris, 83, of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 1, at 11:00am, with viewing at 10:30 am, from the gravesite at Palmetto Cemetery with Brother Bill Manning officiating.
Ann was born July 4, 1940, in Waycross, Ga, to Lloyd and Evelyn Hall Dixon. She lived in Brunswick most of her life, attending Glynn Academy. She operated Ann's Daycare out of her home and was a bus driver with the Glynn County School System. For numerous years, she was a housekeeper and Nanny for Dr. Marsha Certain.
Ann was a very talented painter. Her Marshside and Seascape works are in vast areas. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Holiday Seasons she was at her best with trays going to numerous families and businesses. She loved the beach. She was very much and outside woman. Loved it. She doted over her Muscadine Grape Vines and loved eating them.
But most of all she loved her family. Her grandchildren were her heart.
Ann is survived by her daughters, Patricia Eileen Lee (Tim), Marcia Ann Leho (Frank), and Donna Faye Byrd, all of Brunswick, a brother, Wayne Dixon (Dorothy), a sister, Anita Nix, all of Brunswick, grandchildren, Brandi Nicole Rowland, Marshall Kelly Nail (Maribel), Marshall Keith Cross, Justin Aaron Lee. Great grandchildren, Mallory Cross, Caidyn Rowland, Reil Nail, Harper Cross, Briella Nail, Harrison Lee, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Edward Harris, a sister, Doris Jean Smith, infant brother, Lloyd Donald Dixon, and a grandson, William Cory Cross.
Honorary Family: Dr. Marsha Certain, Dr. Matt Certain, Mrs. Helen Certain Rentz, Donna Turner, Sears Coastal Rehab Staff of Brunswick, Hospice of the Golden Isles , Altamaha Association Board of Directors, Marshside Grill and Allyson Chapman.
Chapman Funeral Chapel & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
