Kristen 'Kayla' Bennett, 34, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, at her residence.

A service to celebrate Kayla's life will be held Friday, April 3, 2026, 11:00 am, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kris Dockery officiating.  A visitation for friends and family will follow the service.

Kayla was born June 19, 1991, in Brunswick, and was a 2009 graduate of Brunswick High School, she had lived in Brunswick all of her life and was a chef at King & Prince Beach Resort.  Kayla was an amazing artist, she loved to cook, and more than anything loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her wife, Harlie Smith of Brunswick, parents, Christy Rozier (Steve) of Brunswick, and Frank Bennett (Darlene) of Douglas, grandmothers, Wink Bennett of Douglas, Gloria Rozier and Pat Kirkland of Brunswick, grandfather, Bobby Bennett of Douglas, siblings, Zach Bennett (Madeline), Wyatt Bennett (Aaliyah), Bradly Rozier, and Michael Long (Lenzie), all of Brunswick, aunt, Elena Pipes of Brunswick, cousins, Lindsay Bell (Austin), Mallory Wiggins, (Josh), and Evan Pipes, all of Brunswick, and nieces, Stephanie and Oaklynn Bennett of Brunswick.

Kayla's family has requested in honor of Kayla, please wear something representing her favorite characters Sponge Bob or Spider-man, or pickles.
