Larry Edward Horne, 63, of Darien, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Larry was born July 29, 1962 in Jacksonville, FL, to William Horne and Joann Dorminey Horne. He was a Foreman at MTR Real Estate construction, and was an extremely hard worker. An avid outdoorsman, Larry was a member of the Hot Wad Hunting Club, and loved to hunt turkey, duck, and deer. His other passion was fishing, especially on Barrington Lake and Cresent Lake. He was a quiet man, whom only gave his opinion when it mattered. He was a family man, who cherished his children and grandchildren above all, and had a kind hearted spirit.

Larry leaves behind his wife of 35 years; Brandi Horne, four children; Jessica McClenithan (Michael), Michael Horne (Susie), Brittani Williams, Taylor Lee (Chad), two brothers; Jimmy Horne (Trish), David Gardner, nine grandchildren; Shyann Williams, Josh Iler, Sarah Iler, Cameron Horne, Merritt Horne, Wayne McClenithan, Adam McClenithan, Kyle McClenithan, Brodie Lee and numerous other nieces, nephews, and loved ones. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Michael Horne.

A graveside service will be held at Whispering Pines Cemetery, Monday, January 12, 2026 at 10:00 am.
