Leon Tucker, Jr., 64, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Services to Celebrate Leon's life, will be held Friday, September 24, 2021, 11:00 am, at Northside Baptist Church with Pastor Travis Thrower officiating and the Glynn County Sheriff's Office Honor Guard.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Glynn County Sherrff's Office, Brunswick Police Department and Glynn County Police Department.  A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Chapel from 4:00 until 7:00 pm.

Leon was born July 11, 1957, in Memphis, TN, he had lived in Darien, GA, then in Brunswick since 1991.  Leon was a Deputy Sheriff with the Glynn County Sheriff's Office, and was a former officer with the Brunswick Police Department and Glynn County Police Department.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, old cars, and spending time with his family.  He was a member of Golden Isles Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Gwytha Lee Tucker, his children, Wyndee Tucker of Darien, Brittany Ravenscraft (Aaron) of Clarksville, TN, Jerry Mancil (Missy) and Johnny Mancil (April), all of Brunswick, grandchildren, Maddux & Easton Johnson, Teagan Hamilton, Tucker Ravenscraft, Jackson, Jacob, & Anna Lee Mancil, Jason, Justin, Jaiden, & Jake Mancil, and Ivon & McKenzie Ryals. a brother, Leslie Tucker, and sisters, Sheryl Perkins, Diann Grady, and Vicki Danford.
