Leslie Lawanda Cook, 50, passed away Friday April 17, 2021 in McIntosh County.

Leslie was born July 4, 1970, in Brunswick, Ga., to the late Charles Andrew Cason Sr. and Shirley Lawanda Moody. A Baptist by faith, she married David Cook and share two beautiful children together. Leslie lived in Glynn County her whole life, and loved to dance, sing, play practical jokes and was often the life of the party. She also loved dolphins, was an amazing seafood cook, and was very protective of her family and friends.

Leslie is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Cason Sr. and Shirley Moody.

She is survived by her husband, David Cook; son, James Cook; daughter, Brittany Newbern (Wayne); two brothers, Loney Roy Cason II and Charles Andrew Cason Jr.; one sister, Vesta Cason; two grandchildren, David Newbern and Elizabeth Newbern; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service, for family and close friends only, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Chapel.
