It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lillie Lee Littlejohn Smith, age 96, of Brunswick, who passed away Monday, March 30, 2026, at her residence.

Lillie was born February 4, 1930, in Union County, MS, to Luther Clark Littlejohn and Nannie Louise Reid Littlejohn.  She had lived most of her life in Glynn County, GA, and was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Brunswick.  Her first job was in the Commissary at NAS Glynco, followed by working on the production line at King Shrimp Seafood.  Lillie then went to work as a seamstress at Brunswick Manufacturing and finished her working career at Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Custodial Services, retiring in her 70's after 20 years of service.  Her front porch was always a place for family and friends to gather for comfort and laughter.  She inspired those around her with her kindness and joyful spirit.  She would share her love of plants with all.  Lillie was a great friend to many and a source of inspiration to those who knew her.  Her family invites all who knew her to join them in celebrating Lillie's life on Friday, April 3, 2026, 3:00pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Dr. Chris Winford and Deacon Jim Jordan officiating.  The family will be receiving friends from 2:30 until service time, at the funeral home.

Survivors include her children, Bettie Anderson (Eddie), Sheila Pittman, and Brian Smith, all of Brunswick, grandchildren, Danny Smith (Mitzi),
Wendy Smith-Logue, Amber Elwood (Neil), Jeremy Pittman (Amy), Jennifer Juliano (Justin) and Bailey Smith, 16 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bennie Smith, children, Keith Smith and Karen Knowles, sons-in-law, Wayne Knowles, Charles Pittman, and Johnny Smith, siblings, Thomas Littlejohn, Richard Littlejohn, Reid Littlejohn, Louise Denton, and Melba Beaty and granddaughter, Kasey Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to a charity of your choice or to First Baptist Church of Brunswick, they would also like to thank the staff of Hospice of the Golden Isles for extreme care and assistance with Ms. Lillie for the past 10 months.
