Linda
Zuega
Mar 31, 1943 — Mar 20, 2026
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Linda Zuege on Friday, March 20th, following a stroke the day prior. She passed peacefully, surrounded by love.
Linda was born on March 31, 1943, in Pass Christian, Mississippi, to Johnnie B. McDonald and Geo W. Brown. She grew into a woman who would become so many things to so many people—a devoted daughter, a loving sister, a cherished friend, and a widow who carried deep love for her family. Above all, she was a remarkable mother and grandmother, always steadfast, supportive, and full of warmth.
Linda had a gift for making even the simplest days feel brighter. She was her son's greatest supporter, always in his corner no matter what. She also carried a quiet strength and confidence—something many saw firsthand in her impressive talent for trap shooting, where she earned admiration with her skill and steady presence.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and husband, Harry Zuege. She is survived by her son, Vic, and his wife, Hillary; her beloved grandchildren, Aiden and Lyla; her sister, Cheri Look and her husband, George; and her brother, Allan Brown and his wife, Susana; and also cousins, nieces and nephews.
While her loss is deeply felt, her family holds close the wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. In keeping with her simple and thoughtful nature, there will be no formal service. Her ashes, along with her husband's, will be spread over the plains of Western Nebraska later this summer.
Linda's love lives on in all who knew her. She will be missed beyond words. The family is deeply grateful for the kindness, support, and compassion shown during this time.
