Loretta Ann Dykstra, 75, of Waynesville, passed away Sunday June 14, 2026, at Southeast Georgia Health System of Brunswick.

Loretta was born October 16, 1950, in Patterson New Jersey to Tunis and Margaret Dykstra, and lived in South Georgia for over thirty years. She was a member of Waynesville Baptist Church, and enjoyed socializing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her daughter, Kristi Lynne Meyer, and three siblings, Curt Dykstra, Bart Dykstra, and Jerry Dykstra.

Loretta is survived by her husband, Terry Betts, children, Terri Wallace (Wally), Todd Meyer, brothers, Greg Dykstra (Sheila), and Paul Dykstra, grandchildren, Ashley Jones (Jeffrey), Janie Wallace, Austin Meyer (Samantha), Andrew Meyer, and Brianna Hutchinson, great- grandchildren, Waylon Jones, Lyndy Jones, Adrianna Meyer, and many other extended relatives, loved ones, and friends.

Services to celebrate Loretta's life, will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2026, 3:00pm at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor Emory Wilson officiating.
