Maggie Mae Jones,82, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, June 17,2024 at Southeast Georgia Health System after a brave battle with cancer.

Maggie was born in Nichols, South Carolina on August 20,1941 to Alberta and Oscar Gilchrist. Since 1972 Maggie has called the Golden Isles home, moving from Philadelphia with her beloved husband John Jones. It was then that the pair opened Brunswick Auto Clinic. Maggie worked as a secretary while John painted and did body work. Maggie loved the lord, and was Baptist by faith, often watching her favorite Christian television shows on the TBN Channel. She was also a wonderful cook, and an excellent homemaker; all of her grandchildren loved her.

Maggie is survived by one son, Phillip Jones (Gennifer), two brothers, one sister, three grandchildren, P.J. Jones, Deshawn Jones, Skye Jones, and many more extended family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Jones in 2017, her parents, four brothers, and two sisters.

A funeral service for Maggie will be held at Chapman Funeral Chapel, Monday, June 24,2024 at 10:00 AM with a visitation an hour prior at 9:00.
