Marcia Marie Hodge of Darien, GA (72) peacefully entered into Paradise at home, surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, February 26th, 2024.

Marcia was born May 19th, 1951, in Alliance Ohio to the late Cary and Lela Lashley. She was the 3rd of four children - Larry, Janet, and Bryce, all who preceded her in death. Marcia attended David Lipscomb University, where she received her teaching degree. She received her Masters Degree from Ga Southern, with several additional certifications in administrations and gifted.

Marcia was an educator within the Mcintosh County school system for 50 years, teaching, mentoring, and loving multiple generations of children through the community. Teaching was her passion, and she did so with love and support for every child.

As a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, Marcia spent her life modeling the teachings of Christ and letting everyone see her unwavering love of God.

Marcia married the love of her life, Hugh (Bubba) Hodge on June 21st 1986

Marcia is survived by her husband Bubba, her two daughters and son in laws Carilee and Anthony Webb, Libby and Jay Holman. Nieces and Nephews Kim and Herman Manning, Kenny Conley, Kevin and Elizabeth Conley, Gary Lashley, Clint Lashley. Sister in law Karen Lashley. Great Nieces and Nephews Brittany and Jeremy Sailors, Megan and Bryan Williamson, Kasie and Nicholas Deverger, Jacob Conley, Amber Manning, Tyler and Logan Conley. Grandson Jensen Webb and Honorary grandchildren  Zander, Zoey, Lyla, Bayleigh, Noah, Emily, Landon, Hannah, Theodore, Reagan, Brayden and Hazel.

Funeral services will be held for Family and close friends at Chapman Funeral Home Monday March 4th at 2pm. A secondary celebration of life for the community will be announced at a later date.
