Marie Hoffman Hines, 91, of St. Simons Island passed away Sunday, January 29,2023 at Southeast Georgia Health System of Brunswick.

Marie was born November 24,1931 in Maplewood, New Jersey to Florence Ziegler and Fred Hoffman. She was as bright as she was beautiful; after earning her bachelor's degree, Marie rose through the ranks becoming an account executive for the Jersey Central Power & Light Company. In 1988, after retiring and moving to the Golden Isles, Marie pursued her love for outdoor sporting by becoming an avid golfer around the Island. She also lended her free time as a docent at the St. Simons Lighthouse and volunteer at the local library.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter; Sandra Labriola of Cape Cod, grandchildren; Jerry Beckmann (Juliette) of Cape Cod, Franci Carter of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Donna Beckmann of Boynton Beach, Florida, Vicki Waxenberg (Alan) of Newark, Delaware, numerous great-grandchildren, and other loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband; Frank Morgan Hines, daughter; Beverly Rasmussen, and Francis Hines, Jr.

Private services will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
