Martha 'Marty' Elizabeth Fonner Knezich,89, of Darien, passed away Wednesday, April 5,2023 at her residence.

Martha was born December 11, 1933 to Mr. and Mrs. George Fonner in Coalport, Pennsylvania. She was a secretary by trade at the New Albany School in Cinnaminson, New Jersey. As a current Darien resident for four years, Marty had also lived on St. Simons Island for five, Ft. Lauderdale for eighteen, and forty years in New Jersey. She was a faithful member of The Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in Darien, as well as an immaculate homemaker to her cherished family.

Marty is survived by her loving husband of sixty-six years; Andrew Gregory Knezich of Darien, her son; Dr. Glen Knezich of Brunswick, daughter; Denise K. Rothenhausler (Jose) of Darien, and five grandchildren; Melanie Knezich, Lisa Knezich, Andrew Knezich, Matthew Becker, and Lauren Becker. She is preceded in death by her sister; Betty Morrow.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Mrs. Marty Knezich on Saturday, April 15,2023 at 2:00PM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in Darien.
