Michael Glyndon Berrie, March 16, 1954 - December 17, 2020
On December 17,2020 the good Lord called Michael home at the age of 66. The son of Elmer and Sue Berrie born in Brunswick, GA. He graduated from Glynn Academy Class of 1972, and studied business at Brunswick Junior College.
Michael was an avid outdoorsman, growing up fishing and hunting in Camden County. Living on the Satilla river, he became a commercial shrimp fisherman. Equally, he loved his country and joined the Army National Guard serving in Operation Desert Storm in Oklahoma. An American Patriot. He worked with Stebbins Engineering and Manufacturing, then lived in Lafayette, LA working offshore oil rigs eventually, Michael became owner of Ocean Breeze Marina at the passing of his father.
He was a great storyteller with a photographic memory. a good heart and compassionate spirit that loved family and friends openly and without reservation, and loved cooking.
He was a member of Horsestomp United Methodist Church, and loved God.
Survived by and proud father of Joshua (Jamie) Berrie, and 1 year old precious grandson Elmer Jude, of Brunswick, sister: Beth (Tim) Williams of Waverly, GA, many cousins, good friends, especially fond of Henry T. Berrie, Wendell Brinson, and Keith Missildine, and his girlfriend, Rebecca Fox.
Due to covid, a celebration of life will be planned in the year 2021.
In lieu of flowers, take a kid fishing or hunting spending time in nature of God's creation.
