Michael Lawrence Moore Sr.,65, of St. Simons Island, passed away Wednesday, May 17,2023 at his residence after a brief illness.

Mike is survived by his son, Michael Lawrence Moore, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and his life partner Shelley Cyphers of St. Simons Island. He is also survived by six siblings; Richard Paul Moore, Terry Alan Moore, David Gene Moore, Daniel Lee Moore ,Linda Susan Moore, and Lance Frederick Moore.

Mike lived most of his adult life in Virginia Beach, where he owned and operated Jagman Auto Repair. Mike moved to St. Simons in 2021 and made many friends. He will be especially missed by his friends at Catch 228 and Demere Grill. Mike could often be spotted holding court at one of these two places.

Mike was a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and never missed watching a game. His other passion was rescue cats. The family asks that rather than flowers, donations be made in his honor to the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia: Https://hsscg.org .
