Vera Michelle Mumford Lockhart, 53, of Glynn County, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 6, 2025. She was born on May 27, 1972, to Frances (Lloyd) Crum and Tommy (Sharon) Mumford.

Michelle is survived by her parents; her two children, Jordan (Katelyn) Lockhart and Jayson Lockhart; and her cherished grandchildren, Madelyn, Wyatt, and Aubree. She also leaves behind her loving siblings, Lisa (Larry) Copeland, Michael Mumford, Shallen (Timmy) Crum, Tommie Crum, and Bubba Crum, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply. She will also be fondly remembered by her devoted companion, Tommy Smith.

Michelle had a lifelong passion for nursing, dedicating many years of her life to caring for others. Her compassion, kindness, and commitment to helping those in need touched countless lives and brought her immense joy and purpose.

A devoted family woman, Michelle never missed an opportunity to support her loved ones. Whether at the racetrack, ballfield, or arena, her vibrant spirit and enthusiastic cheers could always be heard from the sidelines. She had a gift for showing up—both in presence and in heart—for every moment that mattered.

Michelle will be remembered for her infectious smile, her love of laughter, and her unwavering devotion to family and friends. She embraced life fully, enjoying every day and every shared moment. Some of her favorite pastimes included dinners and card games with her beloved Tommy and friends.

After her faith, Michelle's family was her greatest joy. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and selflessness, reminding all who knew her that there was nothing she wouldn't do for those she cared about.

Michelle will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

A service to celebrate Michelle's life, will be held Tuesday, 3:00pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Tim Brown officiating.
