Nancy Tilden Wencek, 59, of St. Mary's passed away Tuesday,  February 22, 2022 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Nancy was born March 26, 1962 to Elizabeth Ferrell and Donald Addison Tilden, in Summit, NJ.  Her hometown was Berkley Heights, NJ. She earned her Bachelors degree from Rutgers University, majoring in Psychology. Coming from Northbridge, MA where she lived most of her adult life, she resided in St. Mary's for the past 3.5 years. A cradle Methodist, Nancy was a talented hand bell ringer, starting from childhood, and lending her talents to many church hand bell choirs. Outside of her son, her greatest passion was for Star Trek, watching every rerun and movie.

Left to cherish her memory are: her son, Robert John Wencek of St. Mary's; sister, KarenBeth Tilden of Hilton Head Island, SC; 3 nieces and nephews, Raymond Bilter, Lizzie and Teddy Burns; and many other loved ones and friends. Nancy is predeceased by her father, Donald Tilden, and sister, Leigh Susan Tilden.

Nancy's cremains will be interred in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, New Jersey at a later date.
