Patricia Purvis Richardson, 74, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Funeral services will be held from the gravesite at Palmetto Cemetery, 2:00, Wednesday, February 24, 2021, with Pastor Josh Walker officiating. Tommy Eades, Will Eades, Chris Coger, Talyn Coger, Jacob Eades, and Carson Coger will serve as honorary pallbearers. A visitation for family and friends, will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm , at Chapman Funeral Chapel. We ask that all in attendance abide by the current COVID-19 guidelines, to include social distancing, and the wearing of masks.

Pat was born April 25, 1946, in Douglas, GA, to Thomas Monroe and Lucille Day Purvis. She moved to Brunswick in 1957, attending Glynn County Schools, graduating from Glynn Academy in 1964. She attended Perry Business School and had worked as a secretary for several places over the years, with her last place of employment at Alpha Motor Sales, where she worked for 15 years.

Survivors include her step mother Cora Purvis, sisters, Frances Davis and Victoria Lucille Purvis, all of Brantley County, and several nieces and nephews, including, Tommy Eades, Lori Hand, Richard Roland (Amanda), Krystal Coger (Chris), Lexi Odum, Christopher Purvis, and Devin Cargile. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos William Richardson, Jr., and a sister, Gail Purvis Faulkner.
