Paul Lee
Loupee
Dec 15, 1954 — Apr 25, 2021
It is with deep sadness that we announce Paul Lee Loupee, 66, of Brunswick, Ga passed away on April 25, 2021.
Paul was born on Dec 15, 1954 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Jerry and Bonnie (Orr) Loupee.
He graduated from Lahore American School in Lahore, Pakistan in 1973 and then attended Iowa State University where he was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
Paul worked for many years at Hughes Supply in Brunswick, Tampa, Macon and Savannah. He was also owner of the Bourbon Street Bar and Grill and worked at Ace Hardware before his passing. He was fortunate to have lived in many places and to have travelled the world. He loved music and humor; was very creative and an avid book reader. His ability to combine his sharp wit with storytelling was reflective of how he saw people and life.
He is survived by his mother Bonnie Loupee of Baxter, Iowa, his two daughters, Hilary Loupee (Todd Iverson) of Reno, Nevada and Olivia Mai (Tam) of Floristan, California. His granddaughter Kayla Vass, grandson Alexander Mai and Dean Summerville. As well as by his longtime partner Tina Smith.
He will be sorely missed by his three siblings: Colette Kunkel (Dan) and Michelle Northrup (Jon) of Baxter, Iowa and his brother John Loupee (Julie) of Pooler, Georgia as well as numerous nieces and nephews who adored him. Paul is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Jerry and wife Deborah Brooks.
We will always remember him as the caring brother who led a full life, loved those he knew and was always willing to share a song or laugh with those around him.
