Paul Fenton Stokes, 70, of Brunswick, passed away Feb. 15, 2018, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, 5:00 pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Don Combs officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service time. The committal service with inurnment will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, 10:00am, at Evergreen Cemetery.
Paul was born Sept. 2, 1947, in Washington, DC, to Paul and Annabelle Kemp Stokes. He was a 1966 graduate of Suitland High School, in Prince George's, MD, and was the owner of Paul Stokes & Sons Plumbing and Heating. Paul was Cub Master with BSA Pack 51, Scout Master with BSA Troop 77, he had lived in Brunswick since 2005, and volunteered locally with BSA Troop 224.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Stokes, sons, Paul Stokes, Jr., Patrick Stokes, and Buddy Stokes, all of Brunswick, Ronnie Stokes (Jackie) of Savannah, a brother, David Stokes of Florida, a sister, Paul-Ann Langan (Bob) of Maryland, two grandchildren, Jayden Stokes, and Cassandra Stokes, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Stokes, and sisters, Alice Stamp and Gloria Stokes.
