Pearl Ann 'Dusty' Sloan, 73, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Dusty was born Pearl Ann Sloan on June 2, 1949, in Brunswick, to James Henry and Pearl Portulas Sloan.  She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Catholic School, Glynn Academy Class of 1967, and Brunswick Junior College where she earned her degree in nursing.  After earning her nursing license, she worked at Glynn-Brunswick Memorial Hospital, where she was Head Nurse of SICU.  She then went on to be the administrator of Vivra Dyalisis in Glynn and Camden Counties, and from there went to work as a Registered Nurse with Marshes Medical Clinic until her retirement in 2013.  Dusty enjoyed having fun and was always up for a 'road trip', she was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, crochet, and cross stitch.

Services to celebrate Dusty's life, will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023, 5:00 pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Deacon Christopher Sadowski officiating.  A reception will follow in the Event Center, private inurnment will be held in Palmetto Cemetery at a later date.

Dusty is survived by her nieces, Allyson Chapman and Sloan Chapman Tindall of Brunswick, a nephew, Al Chapman, III, and his wife Chrissy, of Statesboro, great nieces, Hannah Tindall, and Logan Tindall, great nephews, Timothy Tindall, Landon Chapman, and Reid Chapman, and numerous cousins.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Sloan Chapman, and Catherine Sloan Bailey.
