Rachel Ellen Heath Latham, 70, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, August 18,2023 at St. Joseph's Candler after a brief illness.

Rachel was born to James Lester Heath and Florabel McAllister Heath Crews on February 12,1953 in Waycross, GA. She graduated from Ware County High School and began her career in education. Rachel worked at several schools in the special education department as a paraprofessional. Among these were Burroughs-Molette Elementary School and C. B. Greer, from which she retired in 2018. In her spare time, Rachel enjoyed collecting pictures of family and friends and was a fantastic cook.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Shane Latham (Brooke) of Smyrna, grandchildren, Jase Latham, Ada Latham, brother, James McAllister Heath (Marie) of Moultrie, niece, Jade Davis, nephew, Sam Heath, and step siblings, Debbie Shepard, Mike Crews, Jimmy Crews, and numerous other loved ones and friends.

A memorial service for Rachel will be held Tuesday, August 22,2023 at 10:00 AM at Chapman Funeral Chapel, with a visitation to follow until 11:30.
