Rafaela Gosnell

Rafaela Cuenca Gosnell, 78, of St. Marys, passed away Friday, September 11,2026 at Southeast Georgia Health System of Brunswick.

A Memorial Gathering will be held and Sunday, September 20,2026 at 2:00 PM, and Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 9:00 AM, at NAS Freedom Lanes, 609 Gillis St. Jacksonville, FL 32212 in her honor. All are welcome to attend.

Born October 24, 1947 in Manila, Philippines, Rafaela had lived in California prior to moving to St. Marys in 1988. Rafaela Retired in 2010 after 22 years from the Moral, Welfare Department, Naval Base, Kings Bay, Ga and Retired in 2023 after 20 Years from Walmart, Kingsland, Ga. and enjoyed gardening, bowling, and was an excellent cook. 

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard Lee Gosnell Sr., two children, Robin Lewis of Kingsland, Richard Lee Gosnell Jr. of Jacksonville, three grandchildren, Damien Lewis, Malaki Lewis, and Bradley Merical.
