Raymond Walter Browning, age 67, of Kingsland Georgia was called home in the early morning hours of September 26, 2024. He was born December 16, 1956, in Fernandina, Fl to the late Ray and Alma (Miller) Browning.

Raymond attended Camden County High School. He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life June 19, 1976, at Kingsland First United Methodist Church in Kingsland Ga. Raymond worked with Gilman Paper Company in St. Mary's Georgia for 28 years until its closure in 2002. He later worked for Cabin Bluff as a licensed boat captain. He spent the last several years of his life retired after suffering from a brain tumor.

Raymond had a love for his family that was truly unconditional. Raymond had so many friends that in his heart he loved like family. His personality lit up every room he was in, and his laughs were contagious. He can be described as "one of a kind" and his "Story telling" skills were remarkable.  Wherever Raymond was at, laughs were sure to be heard.

Raymond loved the outdoors. He could always be found fishing inshore or offshore and always said that the water brought him so much peace. His passion for hunting, wildlife and the outdoors was explosive and he truly loved living in the woods.

Raymond was also a faithful Camden County Wildcats and Georgia Bulldogs fan.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lisa (Merck) Browning, his son Raymond Michael (Brandi ) Browning, his daughter Rachel (Lee) Browning- Cofield, his sister Diane (Wes) Dixon, grandchildren Haylie (Will) Piland, Hunter Sirmon, Brooke Sirmon and Blake Browning, and his great granddaughter Hadley Piland.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ray Jordan Browning and Alma (Miller) Browning , his nephew Chris Clark and several grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

The family invites you to A Celebration of Life October 20, 2024, at 3pm at the Shell Cracker Boat House on the Saint Mary's River.  In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Raymonds memory to any animal shelter of your choice.
