December 27, 1968- July 24, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rebecca (Becky) Wooten, 55, of Brunswick, on July 24, 2024. Becky was born on December 27, 1968 in Brunswick, Georgia. She was a 1987 graduate of Brunswick High School. Becky was known for her strong will, selfless love of her family, and protective nature. As a treasured mother, spouse, and Nana, Becky will always be cherished for her unfailing support and care of her family throughout her life. Becky enjoyed nature and solitude, which she found in her home at Joe's Island. She could often be found on the porch watching her grandchildren playing, or riding through the woods with her family. She also enjoyed spending time in North Georgia, where her last days were spent surrounded by many of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Alton Wooten and Ashley (Dustin) Melton, her spouse, Glenn Griner, her brother Donnie (Bernadette) Wooten, stepchildren Nikki (Johnny) Diestel and Kayla Griner, and grandchildren Aubree and Austin Wooten, Ella and Brandon Melton, Allen and Lindsay Mauney, and Anna and Matthew Diestel.
