Regis 'Yank' Barron, 85, of Brunswick, passed away February 7,2022 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Services to celebrate Yank's life will be held Saturday March 12,2022, at 1:00PM at First Free Will Baptist Church, with Pastor Chris McEachern officiating, the family will receive friends one hour prior to service at 12:00 Noon.

Yank was born January 8, 1937, in Pennsylvania to Wilmer Barron and Alverta (Bartock) Barron. He was a high school graduate of Dunbar Township in Pennsylvania. After graduation he joined the U.S. Navy, and was honorably discharged. He lived in Brunswick since 1956, and was retired from CSX Railroad. After his retirement from the railroad , Yank worked at the garden center of WalMart. He was a member and Past Exaulted Ruler of B.P.O. Elks 691,The Two Way Fish Camp, and First Free Will Baptist Church. He loved vacationing with his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed decorating his house all holidays.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Lucille Ward Barron, children, Gary W. Barron, Debbie McElmurray, Adrienne Barron, Michelle Barron, all of Brunswick, and Shane Barron (Melissa) of Dallas, GA, grandchildren, Megan Swantek, Morgan Whitten, Ayden Barron, brothers, Leonard Barron (Rosie), and Bob Barron, all of Pennsylvania, and a sister, Shirley Hodgekiss of Pennsylvania, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Reggie Barron, and a brother Skeeter Barron.

The family would like to give special thanks to good friend Billy Partin for helping take care of Daddy/Papa during his time of need.
