Richard Vincent Fornili, 85,of St. Marys, GA, passed away early Friday, July 14, 2023, at Senior Care Center in Brunswick.

A private service will be held August 13.

Richard was born November 25, 1937, in Patterson, NJ, to Ricardo Richard and Frances Lippi Fornili.  He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, and was retired from the United States Postal Service.  Richard had lived in St. Marys since 2011, was of the Catholic faith, and was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.  Richard enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting, drawing, word search puzzles, and traveling.  He loved his conversations with family, and keeping up with all the family adventures.

Survivors include his children, Joseph Fornili (Wendy), Christina Gaulin (Michael), Francis Fornili (Melissa), Grace Sartori (David), Richard Fornili (Heidi),  sisters, Velma Varvel, and Amy Campbell (Lloyd), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Geraldine McDonald Fornili.
