Robert Lamar Barber, 80, of Brunswick, passed away at Southeast Georgia Health System - Brunswick Campus, Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

Born October 14, 1943, in Alma, GA, to Woodrow and Mearl Crosby Barber, he had lived in Brunswick since 1967.  He was a heavy equipment operator, and attended Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church.  He loved collecting model trains and tractors.

Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Louise Barber of Brunswick, a son, Bobby Barber (Kimberly) of Evans, GA. brothers, Ronnie Boatright (Pat) of Swainsboro, Johnny Crosby (Stacy) of Adrienne, GA, and Donald Crosby of Brunswick, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Byron Barber.

There will be a celebration of life funeral service Saturday, June 29,2024 at Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church, 3780 US Hwy 82, at 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior at 10.
