Robert Gaskin, 89, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Southeast Georgia Health System - Brunswick Campus.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024, 11:00am, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Hudson officiating.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Rusty Ferrell, Robbie Ferrell, Patrick Owens, and Peter Laymos serving as active pallbearers.  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00am until service time.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Judy Gaskin, and children, Penny Gaskin and Terry Gaskin, all of Brunswick.

Mr. Gaskin was born September 13, 1935, in Douglas, GA to Eddie Lee Gaskin and Ethel Ruby Bailey Gaskin, he had lived in Brunswick most of his life graduating from Glynn Academy in 1955. He was a veteran of the United States Army, returning to Brunswick after his military duties, and began working at Hercules, Inc. until his retirement in 1987.  After retirement he pursued his passion for fishing as a commercial fisherman.  He enjoyed visiting the Woodbine Opry and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
