Obituary

Robin O. Walker, (ROW) - 82, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away peacefully March 1, 2024, at home with his children.

Robin was born January 21, 1942, in Brunswick, and graduated from Glynn Academy with the class of 1960.  He joined the Army National Guard of Georgia in 1960 where he served for a brief time and from there he attended the University of Georgia.    He met his wife Paula to which he was married to for 59 years.
In 1967 he joined the United States Army where he served until 1972 as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam war.  After his military service he worked at various jobs including pet stores and veterinarians as he loved animals.   Robin and his family moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1974.   He began working for
Anheuser-Busch brewery in 1978 until his retirement in 2000.  While at Anheuser-Busch, he managed the softball team Radicals where his brewery buddies called him "Ace" and usually were in attendance with him annually at the GA/FL and Gator Bowl games and joined the Teamsters 947.  He also had season tickets to every major sports team that Jacksonville has ever had.

Robin was very active in his children's activities including coaching the Mustangs at San Mateo Little League.  After retirement he joined the Brotherhood of Masonry where he served as Worshipful Master at Oceanway Lodge 279 and remained a brother through the merging to become Lodge 408 F & AM.

A service with Military Honors and Masonic Rites, will be held Monday, March 11, 2024, 11:00am, from the gravesite at Palmetto Cemetery, Brunswick, Georgia.  The family will have a gathering from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Oceanview Lodge on New Berlin Road in Jacksonville, Florida.
