Obituary

Rocky Edward Williford, 62, of Brunswick, passed away Monday at his residence.

Private services will be held from the gravesite at Chapel Park Cemetery. A gathering for family and friends will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, 11:30AM- 2:00PM to celebrate Rocky's life at The Chapman Event Center : 6045 Golden Isles Parkway.

Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Lisa Hobby Williford, children, Carlee Oglesby (Jared), Zachary Williford all of Brunswick and Ryan Lewis of Daytona, siblings, Brock Williford (Cindi), Pat Williford, Lawanda Squires (Mike), and Sondra Miller (George), all of Brunswick, a granddaughter, Autumn Lewis, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Rocky was preceded in death by his wife, Linnie Williford, parents, Ed & Peggy Williford, and brother, Jimmie Williford.

Rocky was born July 9, 1962, in Brunswick, to Ed and Peggy Trull Williford.  The Williford family resided in Jesup, prior to moving to Brunswick in 1970.  Rocky attended Glynn County Schools, and as a child attended Pine Haven Baptist Church.  Rocky had a love for farm animals, hunting, fishing, camping and cooking, especially smoking meat on his smoker.  He was an avid NASCAR, Atlanta Braves baseball, and Georgia Bulldog football fan.  He was a former member of the Brunswick Junior Chamber of Commerce and a Charter Member of the Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce, holding numerous titles on local and state levels.  Rocky had worked all of his life in auto mechanics and auto body, having worked with Glynn County Public Works, Browning Auto Body, Waste Management and International Auto Processing.
