Ronny Eugene Scott, Sr., 70, of Brunswick, passed away September 21, 2022, at Southeast Georgia Health System.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at Center Point Church at 10:00 AM Wednesday October 5, 2022.

Ronny was born Oct. 11, 1952, in Folkston, GA to Flemington Thomas Scott and Lottie Louise Radford Scott.  Ronny was a Vietnam Veteran, serving with the United States Marine Corp.  He was a residential painter who had worked with Coastal Decorators for 42 years, retiring in 2006.  Ronny was an avid fisherman, enjoying anything on the water.  He was an amazing artist and loved spoiling his grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Ronny E. Scott, Jr., of Brunswick, Richard Scott (Lacie) of Ocilla, GA, and Amanda "Mandy" Carter (Bill Sears) of Brunswick, a daughter-in-law, Stephanie Smith, grandchildren, Cassie Baker, Chloe Carter, Colby Carter, Delanee Carter, Kambree-Claire Carter, Brodie Scott, Adalyn Scott, Nolan Scott, Barrett Scott, a great granddaughter Kirah, best friend, Anthony 'Bye' Holder, siblings, Mary, Marie, Virginia, Ouida, and Ricky.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 siblings, a son Jimmy Carter, and his wife, Gwendolyn Scott.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the American Cancer Society.
