Ruby Dean Smith Richardson, 88, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018, at Senior Care Center.
A service to celebrate her life, will be held Monday, March 19, 2018, 2:00 pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, with Billy Courson officiating.
Ruby Dean was born August 7, 1929, in Centre, AL, to Joe Berry and Ira Eunice Payne Smith. She had been a resident of Brunswick since 1977, having worked as a seamstress fro Brunswick Manufacturing and Flexer Industries. She was a member of Mershon Baptist Church in Mershon, GA, she was a wonderful mom to her children, and a loving Memaw to her grandchildren and loving Mimi to her great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Kaye 'Sissy' Kelley, of Tampa, FL, Donna Moore (Wendel) of Dewitt, AR, Dianne Beville (Woody) of Brunswick, Darlene Courson (Billy) of Blackshear, a brother, Frank Smith of Weaver, AL, sisters, Emma Amos of Gadsden, AL, Marcella Brock (Jerry) of Centre, AL, grandchildren, Amanda Godwin, Brandon Godwin, Matthew Westcott, Cody, Moore, Amy Bennett (Brandon), Samantha Taylor (Dustin), and Joey Courson, great grandchildren, Eric, Kayla, Cadence, Dalton, Blake, Eliza, and Dawson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children's father, A.W. Richardson, a son, Bill Richardson, a sister, Clara Smith, a brother, Joe B. Smith, Jr., a granddaughter, Alissa Courson, a great grandson, Cullen Lintzenich.
The family would like to give a very special 'Thank you' to the nurses and staff of the Senior Care Center, Harbour Side, for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Richardson during her stay at Senior Care.
