Born May 6,1951, to Samuel Morrison Roberts Jr. and Timmie Lee Davis Roberts in Homerville, Sammy was a lifelong resident of Georgia, having moved to Brunswick at the age of ten, he was a 1969 graduate of Glynn Academy, and a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany. Sammy was a hard worker all of his life. A third-generation master brick mason, he excelled at anything concrete, brick, or tabby, having left his talents all over Southeast Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith, whose biggest treasure was his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Martha Hunter, daughter Raine Smith (Bradley), four grandchildren, Jake Spaulding Jr., Audrie Spaulding, Declan Smith, Harper Smith, and his best friend with four paws, Blue.

His is preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, Timothy Roberts, Gail Miller, and Susan Kay Willis.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

The family has asked that those wishing to do so, would consider a memorial contribution, in Sammy's name, to The Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia.
