Shane Lelland Spearman, 47, passed away at his home in Brunswick, Georgia on Friday, November 18, 2022 after struggling with a long illness.

He was born on October 29,1975 in San Antonio, Texas to Bonnie and Garnett Spearman. Shane was a 33 year resident of Brunswick and graduated from Brunswick High in 1993.

Shane loved music, playing the guitar, and composing songs with his crew. He and his group formed a band (Third Rail) that played at several locations along the East Coast. Some of Shane's many interests was his fondness for politics, history, and Southern culture about which he loved to hold long discussions with friends. In addition, he had a great attraction for Scotland, Ireland, London and the UK. Tops in his musical favorites were Irish melodies and ballads.

For several years Shane worked as a communications technician on Sea Island and later became a self-employed computer technician.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Bonnie and Garnett Spearman of Manor, Georgia, Aunt Sarah Green of Robert Lee, Texas and Uncle Ralph Cannon of Odessa, Texas along with cousins Brent Gamblin, of Anson, Texas, and Roger and Cindy Storm of Odessa, Texas and numerous cousins and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charley and Faye Green and paternal grandparents Velma and Robert Spearman and numerous aunts and uncles. Shane was a sweet and gentle soul and will be missed by many.

A memorial service for Shane Lelland Spearman will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Chapman Funeral Chapel.

Shane loved animals and rescued many starving creatures over the years. The family requests instead of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia in Brunswick.
