Sharon Lewis Pickron, 76, of St. Simons Island, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.
Services to celebrate Sharon's life, will be held Thursday, April 29, 2021, 11:00am, from the grave site at Palmetto Cemetery.
Sharon was born September 19, 1944, in Brunswick, to Avery and Ocala Douglas Lewis. She was a graduate of Glynn Academy, and was a beautician at Myrtle Lee's on St. Simons Island, prior to working at Sea Island Company for over 30 years as a switchboard operator. She enjoyed fishing and was an avid gardener.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, and their husbands, Leigh Pickron Hall (Eddie) of Alma, and Cathy Pickron Howard (Donnie) of Darien, sisters, Shirley Cheek and Brenda Perkins, both of Brunswick, grandchildren, Ryan Pickron, Blake Taylor, Catie Taylor, Dillon Howard (Jamie), and Carley Howard, and a great granddaughter, Emery Howard, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Pickron, a sister, Barbara Ann Ramm, and her brother, Ernest Lewis.
