Obituary

Stephen 'Stevie' Brian Harrison, 65, of Thalmann, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021, 2:00 pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel with Brother Wayne White and Brother Benny Waldron officiating.  Burial will follow in the Harrison-Whittaker Hill Cemetery with Thurman Kern, Hugh Harrison, David McDowell, Erwin 'Sticky' Skipper, Randy Lott, Ronnie 'Peabody' Lott, Gibby Gibson, and Gary Nail, Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jennifer Miller & Staff, Robin Smith, Evelyn Nazzrie, Chasity Proctor, Cassidy 'Sassy' Jones, Alexis Lane, Nicole Wilson, Jewely Morgan, George & Cindy Knight, Sandy Spell, Willie Bullard, Doug & Amy Morris, Ed & Cheryl Anderson, and Bobby Cargile.  A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Chapel.

Stevie was born March 30, 1956, in Brunswick to Franklin Rodney & Darleen Drury Harrison.  He had lived most of his life in Thalmann, and attended Glynn Academy.  He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church, N.R.A., National Hot Rod Association, and was the owner and operator of Harrison Hauling.  Stevie had worked as a commercial shrimper in his younger years, and he enjoyed fishing, antique cars, hot rods, and farming.  He loved spending time with kids and enjoyed singing in church.

Stevie is survived by his wife of 38 years, Rhonda Lott Harrison, mother, Darleen Drury Harrison, son, Stephen 'Brian' Harrison, Jr., a brother, Sammy Harrison (Lisa), niece, Ashley Harrison, great niece, Emma Grace Mistisshen, a special nephew, Ben Lott, and granddaughters, Caitlin & Courtney Sapp, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Rodney Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Emanuel Baptist Church Missionary Fund.
