Susan Burkhart Brantley, 66, of Brunswick, passed away September 29, 2024, at Well Star MCG, Augusta.

Susan was born September 26, 1958, in Oceanside, NY, to Joseph Jacob Burkhart and Evelyn Juanita Odom Burkhart.  She had lived in Brunswick most of her life, and was of the Catholic faith, occasionally attending St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and Sun Rise services at St. William Catholic Church.  Susan had been employed with the Glynn County School Systems, and Glynn County Public Works.  She enjoyed crafting, painting, and gardening, and loved traveling to historic sites.

Susan is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jeffrey Glenn Brantley, children, Luchia Burkhart Hall, Jeremiah Joseph Burkhart, Kelley Burkhart, and Kaleb Joseph Burkhart, all of Brunswick, brothers, Joseph J. Burkhart of Brunswick, Walter Burkhart of Jesup, Norman Burkhart of Stuart, Fl, and John Burkhart of Waynesville, numerous grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Burkhart, and a sister, Gloria Burkhart Powell.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, 5:30pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, with Pastor James Bethea officiating.
