Tammy Smith Powell, 61. of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Hospice of the Golden Isles.

A family gathering to celebrate Tammy's life will be held Sunday at 2:00, at the home of her father Otis Smith.

Tammy was born November 16, 1961, in Brunswick, to Otis and Mary Smith.  She had lived in Brunswick all of her life, attending Brunswick High School, class of 1979.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed swimming and playing tennis.  She had a green thumb and enjoyed anything with horticulture.

Survivors include her son, Timothy Powell, her father, Otis Smith, her sister, Shelly Smith-Brown (Brent), all of Brunswick, grandchildren, Brad Powell, Jr., Skylar Powell, Rain Powell, and Starla Powell.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Head, a son, Brad Powell, and a sister, Debbie Collins.
