Thomas 'Tom' George Bell, 75, of Atkinson, passed away Friday April 8,2022 at Southeast Georgia Health Sytems of Brunswick.

Services to celebrate Tom's life, will be held Friday, April 22, 2022, 4:00pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, with Brother Joey Thomas officiating, and Scott Brandies, and Gene Barr serving as honorary pallbearers.  Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy.

Tom was born June 13, 1946, in Savannah, GA, to George M. and Mildred Lucree Bell. He had lived most of his life in Brunswick, graduating from Glynn Academy with the class of 1966, and was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the United States Navy.  Tom loved his family, camping, fishing, his beloved dogs, and watching his yard birds and squirrels.  He was an avid Amateur Radio Oprator.  Tom retired from the Computer Services Department of College of Coastal Georgia in 2010, and from the Transportation Department of FLETC in 2019.

Tom is survived by his wife of 30 years, Vanessa O'Neal Bell of Atkinson, his daughters, Marie Iatauro (Chip) of Sanford, NC, Catherine Woods (Tony) of Dallas, GA, grandchildren, Asa Durham (Chelsey), Jude Iatauro, Isabel Iatauro, Tiffany Griffin, Amber Morris, and Jamie Sawyer, great grandchildren, Parker Jane Durham, and Kaylee Morris. and numerous nieces and nephews.
