Thomas Emerson (Emory) Knight, Sr., 79, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Emory was born on January 1, 1947, in Brunswick, Georgia, to Lois and Tucker Knight. He grew up in Brunswick and graduated from Glynn Academy, class of 1965. After high school he became an electrician and had a long career with Georgia Power.

He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time fishing, hunting, and growing his garden. Most of all he
enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Jeanne Willis
Knight; his brothers Everett, Ray, Jesse, and Floyd Knight; and his sisters Dorothy Geiger,
Gladys Bennett, and Katie Bethune.

He is survived by his son, Tommy Knight (Cindy); granddaughters Mallory Knight (Stu),
McKenzie Knight Smith (Matt); longtime companion Peaches Brookshire, and several nieces
and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Chapman Funeral Chapel, with Reverend Jim McIlwraith officiating.  Interment will follow at Palmetto Cemetery with Lee Knight, Jeff Knight, Wesley Knight, David Knight, Brian Rock, and Todd Hope serving as active pallbearers.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.
