Obituary

William Lowell Ansley, 86, of Brunswick, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at Hospice of The Golden Isles.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2024, 11:00 am, at Chapman Funeral Chapel.  The family will be receiving friends one hour priro to service time.  A private interment will be held at a later date at Palmetto Cemetery.

Lowell was born January 9, 1938, to W.L. and Corine Mosley Ansley.  He had lived in Brunswick most of his life, after moving to Brunswick as a small child.  Lowell was a member of Brunswick First Wesleyan Church, and had been employed with Pantry Pride until its closing.  Lowell then went on to work at Glynn-Brunswick Memorial Hospital where he worked as a floor technician with environmental services for more than 20 years.  Lowell was a dedicated employee and took great pride in his job, regardless of the task, big or small.  Lowell enjoyed tending to his porch plants and watching Cowboy and Western TV.

Lowell is survived by his brother-in-law, Rev. W. Ray Thomas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Shirley Thomas Ansley.
