Winifred 'Winnie' Harrison Adamson, 81, of Brunswick, passed away at her residence, Thursday, August 18, 2022, after a brief illness.

Services to celebrate Winnie's life, will be held Monday, August 22, 2022, 6:00pm, at Chapman Funeral Chapel.

Winnie was born September 28, 1940, in Milledgeville, GA, to William Lee Harrison, Jr., and Hazel Virginia Harrell Harrison. She had lived most of her life in Brunswick, graduating from Glynn Academy in 1958, and attended Brunswick Junior College, where she earned her license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and a Registered Nurse.  After earning her LPN and RN degree, she taught nursing with the nursing program at Brunswick College.

Winnie is survived by her children, Michael Adamson (Pam) of Suwanee, GA, Amy Carter (Tony) of Brunswick, and Eric Adamson of St. Simons Island, a sister, Marge Harrison Sapp (Mike) of Brunswick, grandchildren, Dylan Adamson (Britney), Jordan Adamson, Brandy Highsmith (Omar), Wesley Wilson (Lenni), Tyler Wilson (Martha), Kaleigh Adamson, Haleigh Adamson, Bailey Adams, Railey Joe Adamson, 12 great grandchildren, and her canine companions Onslow & Daisy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Edwin Earl Adamson, and Robert 'Bobby' Dykes.
